The Willoughby Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Dr. Nicholas Milton AM, presents Rhapsody, featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Konstantin Shamray. This two-day event will be held on Saturday July 27th and Sunday July 28th, at the The Concourse Concert Hall, Chatswood.

A graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music at the University of Adelaide, he has performed under the baton of esteemed conductors like Vladimir Spivakov, Dmitry Liss, Tugan Sokhiev, and Dr. Milton himself.

Since then, he has garnered critical acclaim for his solo and chamber music performances worldwide.

The Rhapsody program promises an evening of exhilarating music including:

Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini Op. 43: A dazzling display of virtuosity by Shamray, performing this iconic piece by the Russian master.

Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 in D minor Op. 47: A powerful and dramatic work, considered one of the most significant symphonies of the 20th century, composed by Shostakovich amidst the turmoil of Stalin's Russia.
